About Allison
In 2005, Allison found her yoga practice while attending the University of Pittsburgh as a complement to marathon training. As yoga was once just a physical workout for her, it has since transitioned into a lifestyle of greater self-awareness and living more mindfully. She has a deep desire to build community, to lean into challenging conversations, and to create meaningful connections between ourselves and the world around us. Her classes explore movement & mindfulness in an energetic, creative, fun way while fostering brave space for students and expectant/new mothers.
Allison completed the Beyond Asana 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Maura Manzo + Brittany Policastro in 2014 and traveled to Malawi with her fellow teacher trainees to build a school in the Mchereka Village through buildOn. This sparked curiosity in Allison to dive deeper into both the connection of yoga and service as well as using yoga as a tool for healing and moving about the world. She co-founded From Home to Haiti in 2018, a service learning and cultural immersion collaboration with Yoga Home and Hope for Haiti. She co-led a volunteer group through seven months of dialogue and fundraising in preparation of a week-long journey into the heart of Haiti.
Allison believes in teaching a strong class rooted in stability, strength, and fun. She encourages her students to remember it’s a gift to move our bodies in this way!
Becoming a mother in 2017 led Allison down another path of yoga, one that solidified her love to support students on their own unique parenting journeys, from pregnancy to beyond the postpartum chapter. Through Dig Yoga, she earned an 85-hour pre/postnatal certification in addition to the Next Generation Yoga 25-hour children’s certification.
Allison lives in Lafayette Hill, Pa with the loves of her life: her husband James and their two daughters. She loves to travel, especially to her favorite places Italy, Mattituck, NY and Bethany Beach, DE. She also owns her own wedding coordinating business, Gold Celebrations, as she loves supporting couples and their families on one of their happiest days.
Allison teaches Prenatal Yoga at Camaraderie and subs Vinyasa regularly. She’s currently offering workshops for tweens and adults alike that blend movement and creativity.
