Remembering the Way: the Path of Serenity

March 12-14, 2027 with Jacq Griffiths

Inspired by the Serenity Prayer, her own eight years of continuous sobriety, and more than thirteen years of studying and teaching yoga, Jacq Griffiths invites you to Remembering the Way: the Path of Serenity, a weekend retreat created especially for women in recovery.

For many women in recovery, there is a longing for something deeper than just connection alone: true belonging, heartfelt communion, sacred embracing. Remembering the Way is a living love note to remind you of your innate wisdom and intrinsic luminosity. Come be held in a sacred community (a ‘kula’), that celebrates the brave path you've chosen.

In celebration of Recovery, join Jacq for a weekend long retreat that merges the practices of yoga and meditation with the simple and profound essence of the Serenity Prayer.

Together, we will:

Use the practices available to us - and the beauty and resources around us at the Institute - to explore recovery through the embodied lens of yoga.

We’ll move, breathe, meditate, journal and gather in ceremony. We’ll walk in nature, practice quietude and settling, move our bodies, share meals and conversation, make space for rest, ritual, beauty and the sweetness that sobriety grants us.

Guided by the Serenity Prayer, we’ll expand our understanding of acceptance, courage and wisdom as lived embodied practice - experiences we can feel in our bodies, recognize in our recovery and carry with us when we return home as familiar doorways to access serenity.

Throughout the weekend, together we will explore what it means to:

  • Gather in Gratitude + Grace

  • Awaken to Acceptance + Awareness

  • Cultivate Courage + Clarity

  • Walk in Wisdom + Wonder

  • Soften into Serenity + Sweetness

  • Remember Our Recovery + Radiance

Retreat Weekend includes, but is not limited to:

  • Daily yoga: a mix of open level Vinyasa inspired movement and gentle, restorative flow and yoga nidra

  • Instinctive Meditation, Sound Baths, + Pranayama

  • Ceremonial Opening + Closing Circles, Journaling, Sharing + Discussion

  • Tea Ritual

  • Moka Tour + Hot Chocolate

  • Guided, Community Hike

  • Healthy, whole foods

Who This Retreat Is For
