Staying Close to Beauty: Walking the Path of the Feminine
May 8 - 10 with Meghan Dwyer
A Mid-Spring Women’s Retreat
Join Meghan Dwyer at the Himalayan Institute for this mid-spring women’s retreat to honor the energy of Taurus + celebrate the season of Beltane, both of which remind us to slow down, feel + move with the rhythms of Mother Nature within and around us. And that beauty is an antidote to these troubling times.
Over the weekend, we’ll explore why unearthing the Divine Feminine — and intentionally gathering with women in circle and ceremony — is so vital right now. We’ll remember that healing our bodies includes expanding our capacity for pleasure, and that tending the Earth begins with deepening our spiritual relationship with her and offering her our deepest praise.
Feminine spirituality calls us inward and downward: into the body, where there is boundless potential for pleasure + creativity; and down into the Earth, where there are infinite sensual delights + deep sources of power for us to plug into.
Here at the oldest mountain range in the world (the Appalachians Mountains which the Poconos are part of), and inspired by the spiritual traditions of the Himalayans, we will behold the beauty of the Earth by awakening our senses, connecting with elemental energy, and spending ample time outdoors. We will also make beauty with the body through yoga, intuitive movement, music, dance, song, myth, storytelling, circle, and ceremony.
Expect to leave feeling more alive, more connected, and more rooted in beauty.

About Meghan
Yoga teacher, shamanic guide, women’s circle facilitator.
Meghan Dwyer was born and raised by the waters and woods of the Wissahickon and currently resides in Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. She's been practicing yoga since 2003 and in 2009 she completed her first 200 hr teacher training at Blue Banyan Yoga Studio in Philadelphia.
In 2013 she graduated from Kelly Morris’ 300 hr Conquering Lion Yoga Teacher Training in NYC, which combined Jivamukti Yoga with elements of Tibetan Buddhism, Shamanism and the Divine Feminine. She is also certified in Yin Yoga, trained by Corina Benner in Levels 1 and 2 and has been apprenticing in the Andean Mystical Tradition of Peru since 2012.
In her classes, Meghan invites students to slow down, feel deeply, and to be gentle and compassionate with themselves. Her gifts include holding space for others to listen to the quiet wisdom embodied in the rhythm of their own hearts and to remember that their true nature is that of Mother Nature.
Meghan is the oldest of 7 kids and her sibs are her best friends. She feels freest swimming in the ocean and dancing to live music, especially if it’s reggae or Latin.
What It’s Like Working with Meghan
“Being Meghan’s student feels like waking up to my best self. It’s a magnificent process of remembering, grieving, healing and renewing. Her work has been my medicine and I cherish her ability to so gracefully connect women to our Earth, and to each other.”
Isabelle M.
“Meghan’s wisdom, insight, and general way of moving in the world has shifted my perspective on the feminine. And has reconnected me to my comfort in knowing the Divine, which I've recently felt disconnected from for various reasons. She’s helped me to remember.”
Julianne M.
